We particularly liked the thoughtful detailing of the living accommodations, such as granite countertops, private balconies or patios, extra storage space and floor plans ranging from studios to two-bedroom units. On-site amenities include a heated outdoor spa, a salon/barbershop, a library and a state-of-the-art fitness center. Curb-to-curb scheduled transportation is available to local events, entertainment and shopping venues and appointments.

With a resident capacity of 47, Mills Estate Villa was among the smallest facilities on our top 10 list. We liked the intimate environment, the attractive and cozy outdoor courtyard and the family atmosphere provided by the staff's caring, compassionate attitude. This facility is not pet-friendly, which makes it a good choice for those who suffer from allergies to pet dander. Floor plans include private suites and companion suites.

However, the only floor plan option here is companion suites, so while this may be a good option for those who would enjoy the company of a roommate, it may not be the best choice for seniors who appreciate their privacy.
