Just 14 miles north of San Jose, Palo Alto is a quieter suburban community that sits at the base of the mountains. This city carefully protects its open space, and nearly a third of the community is open space and parkland. Known as the Birthplace of the Silicon Valley, this is a tech-savvy community as well.
