Financial Assistance Programs in Lake Forest

Medicaid Program in Lake Forest

California’s Medi-Cal program is an entitlement that helps older adults in the state, including those living in Lake Forest, cover the costs of many senior care services, including assisted living, home care and skilled nursing. Medi-Cal has no enrollment caps or waiting periods. If you meet the eligibility requirements, you can apply and begin receiving services.

Medi-Cal has strict income guidelines. If you make under $1,012 for a single person or $1,372 for a married couple, you can receive Medi-Cal benefits at no out-of-pocket costs. Above those levels, a sliding income scale determines what the program covers and what you must pay out of pocket. Another qualifying criterion involves your total assets: they must not exceed $2,000 for a single person or $3,000 for a married couple.

You can apply for Medi-Cal benefits or receive more information by visiting the website or by calling (866) 613-3777.
