Residents have a choice of studio or one-bedroom apartments, all with kitchenettes (utilities included) and bathrooms with walk-in showers. The fee includes apartment maintenance, housekeeping, linens and laundry. The community's indoor amenities include a game room, media room and salon with spa facilities. Chefs prepare diet-friendly meals served in the dining room, or residents can choose to eat outdoors in the bistro or use the private dining room with family and friends.

Long Island Living Center is conveniently located for seniors who enjoy seaside living, as Rockaway and Atlantic Beaches are only minutes away. Sutton Gardens is a family-owned facility in the Linden Hill area, close to Queens Botanical Garden, LaGuardia Airport, and the restaurants and coffee shops of downtown Flushing. As an enhanced assisted living facility, its staff concentrates on carefully developing residents' physical fitness and mental well-being, as well as focusing on other aspects of health such as nutrition. Private and semiprivate rooms are available, with provided housekeeping, laundry and linen services freeing residents to enjoy their recreational time. We chose Sutton Gardens for several reasons, chief among them being everything is on the first floor, so residents needn't be concerned about elevators or stairs.
