Located just to the west of Milwaukee, Waukesha County is Wisconsin’s third-most-populous county with 404,198 residents, 19.2% of whom are seniors aged 65 and older. 

The County is made up of villages, small towns, cities and rural areas, which means there are plenty of amenities, events and services that appeal to retirees. Seniors can fish, walk and picnic at one of the many county-run parks, and the Waukesha County Museum is a popular day trip destination among locals and visitors alike. There are also a number of top-ranked hospitals in the area, including the Froedtert Menomonee Falls Hospital, which operates three emergency departments in the County.
