The 10 Best Assisted Living Facilities in Kenosha, WI

Image 1

As the county seat of Kenosha County and one of the shore towns along Lake Michigan’s southern border, Kenosha is also the fourth-largest city in Wisconsin. Its proximity to Chicago and Milwaukee as well as its designation as a port city means Kenosha also provides a wide variety of services and programs for its senior residents. It also has a lower cost of living than nearby Chicago and a lower crime rate than Milwaukee. For these reasons, Kenosha is an attractive option for those seeking retirement.

Being situated on the banks of the second largest Great Lakes means there are plenty of water-related activities to enjoy. Of course, there are also plenty of museums to explore and historic districts to tour. Seniors looking to continue their education or make new friendships can join the Kenosha Senior Center, which offers a wide assortment of classes and activities. The University of Wisconsin-Parkside provides monthly lectures and programs or classes through its Adventures in Lifelong Learning program.

The average monthly cost for assisted living in Kenosha, at $4,788, is moderately higher than the state average of $4,350 and also higher than the national average of $4,000.

Note: Information for Kenosha was not available, so data from the nearest city, Racine, was used.
