Located approximately 10 miles to the north of Minneapolis, the city of Coon Rapids sits alongside the Mississippi River in Anoka County. Over 10,000 people aged 65 and over are living in Coon Rapids, according to the 2021 estimates from the U.S. Census Bureau, and the city’s total population is more than 63,000.
