Overview

The Cancer Financial Assistance Coalition (CFAC) is a group of 15 organizations that collaboratively fund and maintain a database of financial and other resources specifically for individuals diagnosed with cancer. The database is a free service and allows individuals to search for assistance by type of cancer, regionally, or by the specific type of assistance they require, be that prescription assistance, help purchasing durable medical equipment, or living expenses. Other assistance might include meal delivery, home care, and transportation. The CFAC database is thorough, easy-to-use, and fast.

Not all the resources in the CFAC database are specifically for the elderly.

In addition to the database, the CFAC website offers essential, easy to read materials that are helpful for anyone recently diagnosed with the disease. For the most part, these materials are focused around the costs of treatment, managing the financial components, and finding assistance, instead of on diagnosis and treatment.
