Situated at the scenic southern tip of the Appalachian Mountain Range and approximately 20 miles southeast of Georgia’s largest metro and capital city, Atlanta, Stockbridge is a small town of approximately 29,163 citizens. As the birthplace of Martin Luther King, Stockbridge has substantial historical and cultural significance. Ten percent of Stockbridge’s overall population is aged 65 and over. The community’s low cost of living and small town ambience make it a desirable retirement destination for those seeking peaceful residential living without sacrificing the kind of urban amenities found in nearby Atlanta.

The average cost of assisted living in Stockbridge is $3,845 per month, although costs typically vary depending on location and the quality and amount of amenities and services. Stockbridge residents pay less than the national average of $4,500 per month, but slightly more than Georgia’s statewide monthly average of $3,535.

Note: Data for Stockbridge was unavailable, so data for the nearest city, Atlanta, was used instead.

We’ve put together the following guide to assisted living in Stockbridge, which includes a list of the area’s top ten assisted living facilities. Please keep reading to see if one is right for you or someone you love.

Featured is a gazebo where residents can get shelter from the sun or rain while enjoying the view, as well as raised garden beds where residents can grow their favorite plants. Unlike other facilities in the area, Oaks at Stockbridge doesn't have a size or weight limit for pets; however, residents must be capable of caring for all of their pets' needs.
