This facility earned its place on our top 10 list because of its on-site services, including x-rays and routine lab work, which saves residents the time and trouble of having to go to a medical office. Arranged transportation to medical and dental appointments is also available to residents. Individual needs and preferences are routinely assessed on an ongoing basis by doctors and other care providers. Medication management, personal care plans, laundry, cleaning and assistance with basic grooming, dressing and bathing are also provided on an as-needed basis.

We especially liked the range of floor plans available to residents of this facility. Along with studio, one- and two-bedroom apartments, detached homes and companion suites are also available. The food offerings were also impressive — along with the option to have three scheduled meals per day, residents can craft their own comprehensive meal plans to suit their preferences and needs. The talented culinary staff also offers customized take-and-bake pizzas and catering services.

Lake Ridge Senior Health & Living is a faith-based facility with an on-site chapel and plenty of chances to participate in Bible study groups. Hair and nail care for both women and men is provided by professional stylists and barbers at the on-site salon and barbershop. We liked this 55 and over facility for its central location in downtown St. Cloud, allowing residents easy access to community amenities and public transportation. Residents enjoy a variety of scheduled recreational and social activities as well as comfortable, attractively appointed indoor and outdoor common areas. Some small pets are welcome here. Each unit has air conditioning and is wired for high-speed internet and cable. Most units have ceiling fans and refrigerators.
