This program is designed for seniors that require assistance with two or more activities of daily living or instrumental activities of daily living; and who do not qualify for Arizona’s Medicaid program known as Arizona Long Term Care System (ALTCS). The intention is to allow individuals who might otherwise need to move to a care facility to remain living at home. The program provides services for both the caregiver and the individual in need of care. Available services depend on the applicant’s diagnosis. A list of possible services follows: adult day care, home health aide, housekeeping, personal care and in-home respite.
Arizona residents must be 60+ years old, require assistance with two or more activities of daily living and instrumental activities of daily living; and not be eligible for Arizona’s Medicaid program. There are no hard income and asset limits.
