The Senior Rx and Disability Rx Program is Nevada’s state pharmaceutical assistance program designed for elderly and disabled individuals. This program provides financial assistance for prescription drugs for Medicare eligible Nevada residents. Individuals must enroll in a Medicare Part D plan (Medicare's prescription drug plan), which will enable them to receive assistance for the monthly premiums.
This program is managed by the Nevada Department of Health and Human Services and is funded by the proceeds from the tobacco settlements with the state. It is intended as a financial supplement to Medicare Part D. It assists participants in paying the monthly premiums for their Medicare Part D or Medicare Advantage Plan with Part D (MA-PD).

This program provides financial assistance for Medicare Part D premiums. As of 2022, as much as $37 a month can be paid toward Part D premiums. There is no charge to participate in this program.
Interested Nevada residents can visit the Nevada Senior Rx website or call their toll-free number at (866) 303-6323 (option 2) to learn more. To apply, one can download an application or visit their local Aging & Disability Services Division. Proof of income, a copy of one's Medicare card, a copy of one's Nevada driver’s license or identification, and a copy of one's Part D plan or Medicare Advantage card must be supplied during the application process.
There is no wait list for this program. Eligibility is generally determined within 30-45 days from the date the application is received. It may take an additional 30-90 days to begin receiving benefits.
Nevada seniors who are eligible for the Senior RX program might also be eligible to receive assistance to help them remain living in their homes. Read about the COPE Program.
